Shoreham FC played their play-off semi-final away to Seaford Town and the Musselmen took around 100 supporters to cheer the team on.
Shoreham started off the more positive of the two teams, Santos and Heath being the two Shoreham players coming close twice in the first 15 minutes. Shoreham still kept the pressure on Seaford and it paid off with Dan Momah firing from 18 yards out making it 1-0 to Shoreham in the 21st minute. Pressure from The Musselmen kept on in the first half with Seaford having an 8 yard shot on goal which should have made it 1-1 but the ball skied over the bar.
Second half saw Seaford start much better than the first half with more goal chances most of which were goal area scrambles from set pieces. Shorehams keeper, Ricardo was asked to show his talent by pulling off a great save from a great power shot from Seaford which he tipped over the bar. With Seaford trying to keep the pressure up to equalise, Shorehams Heath converted a cross from Santos and tapped in from 6 yards out, to make it 2-0 Shoreham in the 69th minute. After that Seaford tried to get back in the game but to no avail. Then to make matters worse Seafords Jayson Sowter was shown a red card. This sealed Seafords fate and Shoreham go into the play-off finals this coming Saturday away to Midhurst & Easbourne.
