Shoreham FC U23 v Peacehaven U23- 9th Feb 2022

Well after playing Peacehaven 2 weeks ago and losing 3-1 tonight’s game was going to be tough and we were right. The night was also a special one with our old guard Mark Burt making an appearance at the grand old age of 53.

Shoreham FC where 3-0 down at halftime to a well drilled and organised Peacehaven team. The first half Shoreham had a few chances but wasted them. To add insult to injury the match official gave Peacehaven a penalty 20 minutes into the game after Shoreham FC were already 1-0 down. Even the opposition where surprised to be given a penalty and that kind of officiating carried on through out the game.
Josh Measore was the hero again in the first half pulling off some great saves which meant Shoreham FC went in at half-time just the 3 down when it could have been more.

Second half saw a different kind of Shoreham FC step out onto the field of play and what ever the gaffer said at half time worked.

With Shoreham FC clawing back to make it 3-4 in the 90th minute. Goals came from Luca Slaney penalty spot, Rash  getting a brace. Within 5 minutes the score was 4-4 with Taylor Harding equalising in the last minute and then with only seconds to spare and the last kick of the game Taylor Harding came up with the winner. Shoreham FC ended up 5-4 winners and this must go down as the game of the season for the U23s.
